About this event
Please join us at the Peel Museum for the Bentonville Public Library and Peel Museum’s Reader Rendezvous Adult Book Club! Each month, we will discuss books of the Victorian/Gothic genre, and the books will be available at Bentonville Public Library’s front desk while supplies last. The book we will be discussing for the month of October is Dracula by Bram Stoker.
Even though the book club starts at 6pm, please plan on arriving a bit early to enjoy a private tour of the museum. Tours will start at 5pm and continue until book club starts. If the weather is nice, we may even enjoy the gardens on the museum grounds for our discussion.

Upon arrival, please inquire in the gift shop as to the location of the meeting on the Museum grounds. October 27 Book: Dracula During a business visit to Count Dracula’s castle in Transylvania, a young English solicitor finds himself at the center of a series of horrifying incidents. Jonathan Harker is attacked by three phantom women, observes the Count’s transformation from human to bat form, and discovers puncture wounds on his own neck that seem to have been made by teeth.
Harker returns home upon his escape from Dracula’s grim fortress, but a friend’s strange malady — involving sleepwalking, inexplicable blood loss, and mysterious throat wounds — initiates a frantic vampire hunt. The popularity of Bram Stoker’s 1897 horror romance is as deathless as any vampire. Its supernatural appeal has spawned a host of film and stage adaptations, and more than a century after its initial publication, it continues to hold readers’ spellbound.
