Once Upon a Time Books

Once Upon a Time Books is a family-owned bookstore business serving Northwest Arkansas and communities across the state. The business was founded with a simple idea: books should be accessible, affordable, and cherished, no matter where they come from or where they’re going next.

The business has multiple locations, including a store in Bentonville, which specializes in rare and collectible books and is home to the Book Vault. Another location in Fayetteville focuses on children’s and young adult titles, with an immersive space featuring cozy seating, a special event room, and a dedicated storytime stage.

Once Upon a Time Books has a strong commitment to community and literacy initiatives, such as The Great Arkansas Book Giveaway, which aims to distribute books to Arkansas children at no cost to families. The program relies on community funding, with local businesses and organizations contributing through sponsorships and donations.

In addition to its retail stores, Once Upon a Time Books also operates an online store with a large inventory of items, as well as a Bookmobile that travels to different locations. The business has a variety of ways for customers to shop for books, including a 'Books by the Foot' option and a 'Book Vault' section.

Once Upon a Time Books strives to make books accessible to everyone, with a focus on building stronger communities through the love of reading. The business believes that all children should have access to books at home and that choosing your own book matters, helping to connect generations and build stronger communities.
